Scoring Methodology

The overall score is a weighted average of the six category scores. We use a weighted system because some factors matter more for our audience. Free Plan Quality carries the highest weight (25%) because this site focuses on free builders — the quality of the free tier matters most. Ecommerce carries the lowest weight (8%) because most free plans have limited store features.
